Meet Hayley Mears – An industry expert on all things hairdressing. An ex-hairdresser who saw a gap in the market for a digital agency to support the marketing needs of salons. Back in 2010 Six Underground Media was born and has BOOMED ever since. Taking her intimate knowledge of salon operations, hair fashion, education and industry economics Hayley paired this with a communications degree she made Six Underground media a marketing destination for the hairdressing industry.
Through the rise and pivots of social media Hayley and her team have developed strategies for every industry brand imaginable. From single operator salons, to the biggest beauty names in retail, no matter what your business looks like, there is a plan, a strategy and budget that will work to deliver your brand message.
So now it’s 2023 and the market looks VERY different to only a few short years ago. It’s hard to know which direction to take your social output. Is TikTok the place for you? In April 2023 they launched their third, print book to the industry, titled “Vibe Check for Creatives”. It’s 210+ pages of deep dives into all aspects of the hairdressing industry. A post-pandemic look at a new landscape in our industry full of independent entrepreneurs, TikTokers, no Saturday salons and completely integrated eComm and digital booking.
